Driving Abroad

The Budget network is composed of approximately 3,400 agencies throughout the world. You will always find a Budget agency close by.

If you intend to rent a vehicle abroad, it is always a good idea to carry out some research in order to familiarize you with the traffic legislation .  For example, in England, the steering wheel is on the left and not on the right. That could be concern if you had never driven a vehicle a wheel on the right.

When you arrive at the rental agency, your vehicle will be cleaned, with a full tank of fuel, ready to go.

For your peace of mind and to ensure your journey and vehicle return go smoothly, Budget advises you to pay attention to the various following points:

  • check the vehicle and ensure any damage is noted on the rental agreement before your departure
  • check fuel level

You can also ask the Budget personnel to demonstrate the various equipment of the vehicle and to explain their uses. You will also find the instruction manual for the model you have rented inside the vehicle.

Budget also advises you to check that you are in possession of a telephone number or contact in the event of urgency (breakdowns, accident...)

Last information, make you check the type of fuel the vehicle usess. That will be always preferable to a draining of the tank and a cleaning of the engine.

Have a nice trip!
